Land Use Council
(est. 1989) - $225/year per person

Eligibility: Member who employed by a firm or corporation that is devoted to Land Development or by a firm or corporation directly related to the Land Development in Frederick County.

Primary focus is on policy in Frederick County and all its municipalities as it relates to engineering, water/sewer, APFO, etc. We have the highest engagement in this Council with County/City staff and elected officials.

Young Professional Builders Council
(est. November 2023) - No Cost

Eligibility: Any member (Ages 18-35)

Primary focus s to connect and support emerging leaders in the building industry through networking, professional development, and community involvement opportunities.

Professional Women in Building Council
(est. June 2021) - $75/year per person

Eligibility: Any female member

Primary focus is to support the advancement of women in the building industry through networking,education, outreach, and personal and professional development.

Multifamily Council
(est. May 2023) - $125/year per person

Eligibility: Any member.

Primary focus is on any product that is NOT single-family detached (e.g. condos, apts, MXD, commercial, rentals, etc.) building expertise, make connections, advocate for productive building policies/regulations, and prepare for new opportunities and unexpected problems.

 

COMMITTEES

Each are members acting in an advisory capacity, sharing their time and talents with FCBIA that is in connection with an event or initiative.

Home & Garden Expo

Importance: largest non-dues financial contributor on an annual basis.

Meetings: 1 hour monthly with subcommittee responsibilities for exhibitors, marketing, family entertainment, and the Builder Olympics.

Workforce Development

Importance: engage leadership in the County/City, educational institutions, non-profits, and other entities to create a pipeline of employment/employees in the building industry.

Meetings: 1 hour monthly and adopting subcommittee responsibilities

Event-Based

Importance: mission-focused to add value to members & non-dues financial contributor on an annual basis.

Meetings: varies based upon lead time to event.

Annual Anchor Events
  • Awards of Excellence in May
    Juried among your peers, celebrate industry professionals that are the gold standard at our annua gala.
  • Crab Feast in July
    Outdoor crab feast, typically member companies invite staff that may not attend other FCBIA events to show appreciation.
  • Golf Classic in August
    High-level networking tradition of a full day of golfing, rain or shine.
