The Home & Garden Expo is one of FCBIA’s flagship events and our largest non-dues financial contributor each year. This highly anticipated expo brings together homeowners, builders, remodelers, landscapers, and service providers, giving the public direct access to the latest innovations in home improvement and outdoor living.

As part of the committee, members play a vital role in ensuring the Expo’s success and growth. Committee responsibilities include:

  • Exhibitor Coordination – Recruiting and supporting vendors, ensuring diverse representation from local builders, contractors, and home service professionals.
  • Marketing & Promotion – Developing creative outreach strategies to maximize attendance and community engagement through digital media, print, and partnerships.
  • Family Entertainment – Planning activities and attractions that make the event enjoyable for attendees of all ages, creating a true community experience.
  • Builder Olympics – Organizing and managing this exciting competition that showcases member talent and builds enthusiasm among both participants and spectators.

The committee meets once a month for one hour, with additional subcommittee meetings as needed to handle focused areas of planning. Serving on the Home & Garden Expo Committee is a rewarding way to contribute to FCBIA’s financial health, increase visibility for our members, and bring valuable resources to the Frederick County community.
